Kasper-Florio and Bänziger Hug receive the BSA Award 2026
The Federation of Swiss Architects (BSA) awards the BSA Prize 2026 to Larissa Kasper, Rosario Florio, Samuel Bänziger, and Olivier Hug. Through publications, exhibitions, digital platforms, and publishing projects, these four designers, editors, and cultural mediators have made a significant contribution to shaping the public perception of architecture.
Rooted in architecture and its cultural, spatial, and editorial dimensions, their work operates at the intersection of graphic design, editorial practice, and curatorship. Through precise conceptual thinking, outstanding design quality, and an openness to collaboration, they create distinctive formats with an international reach.
The work of Kasper-Florio and Bänziger Hug has received numerous accolades, including awards from The Most Beautiful Swiss Books, The Most Beautiful German Books, and the DAM Architectural Book Award. In 2024, they were awarded the Jan Tschichold Prize by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture for their jointly run publishing house, Jungle Books. Most recently, the quartet gained international recognition through its contribution to the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale. For the Biennale, curated by Carlo Ratti, they developed the graphic identity for the entire exhibition. They also designed the catalogue for the Bahrain Pavilion, which was awarded the Golden Lion at the Biennale.
The BSA Prize 2026 honours four designers who consistently integrate content, medium, and form into a coherent whole. Through their work, Kasper-Florio and Bänziger Hug have profoundly influenced the perception of architecture, both in Switzerland and internationally.
